Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul Church

The Church of Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul (Église Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul) is one of the most important historical monuments in Ivry-sur-Seine.

Erected between the 12th and 16th centuries, it bears witness to the city's ancient history through its Gothic architecture and elements inherited from different eras.

From the outside, one notices its massive bell tower and sober facade, typical of medieval religious buildings. Inside, the church offers a majestic space with beautiful vaulted ceilings, sculpted capitals, and colored stained-glass windows that diffuse a soft light. Certain elements of antique furnishings, such as statues and altars, recall the spiritual and cultural importance of this place over the centuries.

Today, the church remains a lively place: it hosts masses, concerts, meetings, and cultural events. It is also a landmark in the city, both for its architectural presence and its social role.

Visiting Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul means delving into the history of Ivry, admiring the work of builders from the past, and feeling the continuity of a place that has spanned time while retaining its soul.
