Open-Air Sculpture Museum

The Open-Air Sculpture Museum (Musée de la Sculpture en plein air) is a unique place in Paris, located on the Quai Saint-Bernard, in Square Tino-Rossi (75005 Paris). It is a true open-air museum that runs along the Seine, from the Arab World Institute to the Jardin des Plantes.

Developed between 1975 and 1980, this museum presents a collection of contemporary sculpture works along the banks, freely accessible. Art thus leaves the walls to blend with the urban and river landscape.

It brings together around 37 works by major 20th-century sculpture artists, including:

  • Constantin Brâncuși (Table de pierre - Stone Table)
  • Jean-Robert Ipoustéguy (L'homme aux semelles devant - The man with soles in front)
  • Nicolas Schöffer (Chronos 10, kinetic sculpture)
  • Agustín Cárdenas (La Grande Fenêtre - The Great Window)
  • Guy de Rougemont (Interpénétration des deux espaces - Interpenetration of the two spaces)
  • Étienne-Martin (Demeure I - Dwelling I)
  • Works by César and Ossip Zadkine were part of the collection but have been relocated.

Access and Hours

  • Admission: Access is free and open to all.
  • Hours: The garden, and therefore the museum, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays, allowing for an artistic stroll at any time.

Practical Information

  • Address: Quai Saint-Bernard - Square Tino Rossi, 75005 Paris.
  • Transport:
    • Metro: Jussieu, Sully-Morland
    • Train Station: Paris Austerlitz (Gare d'Austerlitz)

It is an ideal place for a bucolic and cultural walk, where you can approach the works from all angles without barriers.
