Le Moulin de la Tour

The Moulin de la Tour (Tower Mill) is one of the most symbolic monuments of Ivry-sur-Seine.

Built in the Middle Ages, it once served to grind grain using wind power. Today, it is one of the few mills still standing in the Île-de-France region, making it a precious witness to Ivry's rural past. Carefully restored, it is located in a small peaceful garden, in the heart of a residential area, and surprises with its timeless charm amidst the urban landscape. A visit to the Mill allows you to discover the remnants of its mechanics, as well as the history of agricultural and artisanal life in the region.

The association responsible for its preservation regularly offers guided tours, workshops, and cultural events, allowing visitors to better understand its operation and its role in daily life in the past. This monument is also a place popular with walkers and families, who come here to relax or simply admire its unique silhouette.

The Moulin de la Tour embodies the memory of Ivry, a link between tradition and modernity, reminding us that before being a dynamic city, Ivry was a territory of fields, wind, and manual labor.
